Workforce Assistance
The most common concern identified by businesses across the country tends to be related to workforce. We partner closely with Iowa Workforce Development for access to valuable information about Iowa’s workforce and to provide employees and employers assistance in finding jobs and training.
Midwest Partnership also collaborates with our area community colleges to provide training opportunities and recruit students for employment. Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), Iowa Central Community College (ICCC), and Southwestern Community College (SWCC) are each located within 30 minutes of our region and provide invaluable services to our employers.
The Iowa Student Internship Program provides grants to companies (employing 500 or fewer) in the advanced manufacturing, biosciences, and information technology industries as internship wage reimbursement. The program will match your internship funds, with a couple simple guidelines, and the goal of transitioning to full-time employment and bringing awareness to career opportunities in the state.
