The Iowa Small Business Relief Program was launched to provide financial assistance to small businesses that have been economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The program offered eligible small businesses grants ranging from $5,000-$25,000 in addition to offering businesses a deferral of sales and use or withholding taxes due and waiver of penalty and interest. Of the $24 million allocated for this program, the recipients from Adair and Guthrie counties are:
- Menlo Cafe- $15,000
- LaVilla Mexican Restaurant- $12,200
- Terry W. Harrison (Stuart Bowl)- $10,000
- Do Drop/Just One More LLC- $5,000
- Shorts Place- $17,000
- Kimberly Ann, Inc (Happy Chef)- $20,000
So far, there has been two rounds of funding awarded totaling $12,755,710 of the $24 million allocated. Iowa Economic Development Authority will continue to announce award recipients.
