The new 80’ x 125’ shop area at Titan Machinery can accommodate the largest CASE equipment out there — as well as a large crowd enjoying a free lunch held during the company’s open house Aug. 3.
“Anything CASE makes, we can get in here,” said Store Manager David Davis. A 48-foot-wide door on one end of the shop makes that possible.
Prior to the expansion, work on some of the equipment had to be done outside in the elements, said Davis.
The new shop also features 5-ton overhead cranes, which the old shop did not have, said Davis. “The service guys and technicians use it for everything.”
The shop also features in-floor heat. The used oil from the shop is used to heat it, said Davis.
As well as the new shop, the expansion project completed in March included additional space for retail, office and parts.
“We were outgrowing what we had, and it was getting dated,” said Davis. The three sales people were sharing space but now have their own offices.
The previous shop building is being used for storage, said Davis.
