Guthrie County Community Foundation announces grant recipients — 

Tuesday, the Guthrie County Community Foundation (GCCF) announced awards of grants for projects within the county totaling $105,266.

A total of 27 requests for grants were received from across the county by the GCCF with 23 receiving full or partial funding.

Last spring 20 grants were awarded totaling over $75,000.

Source of the grant money: Guthrie County's share of Iowa gambling receipts.

GCCF board members include chairman Eric Reinhart, Guthrie Center; vice chairman Robert Kreimeyer, Adair; treasurer Chris Arganbright, Panora; secretary Julie Kipp, Yale; grant committee chairman Ken Baker, Panora; endowment committee chairman Dana Hansen, Casey; marketing committee chairman Lisa Kempf, Jamaica; Laura Imerman, Guthrie Center; Alex Krueger, Bagley; Jerry Vitzthum, Stuart; and Regina Lloyd, Linden.

In order to receive a grant, an organization must have IRS 501(c)(3) tax exempt status or be sponsored by such an organization. Deadline for application can change, but is generally March 1 every year. Application forms are available on-line at www.guthriecenter.com under the GCCF tab.
