Annual Dinner

The Annual Dinner is an opportunity for area developers, business and community leaders to gather together and celebrate the successes of the region over the past year. In addition to the Executive Director's annual report and the presentation of two annual awards, attendees will also hear from a keynote speaker. The Annual Dinner takes place on the fourth Thursday of January, centrally located in the Midwest Partnership region, at the Lake Panorama Conference Center in Panora.

EntreBASH is a networking and learning opportunity for entrepreneurs and small business owners to start or build their businesses. In addition to one-on-one business consulting, attendees will be able to learn best practices from area experts on ‘hot topics’ such as technology, insurance, and talent recruitment. Attendees will also have direct access to chat with regional service providers that offer a variety of resources specifically to enhance their business. 

EntreBASH 2017 is scheduled for Tuesday, March 28th at the Guthrie Activity Center!

Golf Outing

Midwest Partnership's Annual Golf Outing serves as a development event each year for an organization-sponsored project. Each year’s golf outing helps support the continued growth of our local and regional marketing to promote the region and its economic efforts. We believe we have a great story to tell and an incredible region to sell, and this event is an essential element supporting that strategy.

Each of the past 21 golf outings have brought together allied partners and economic development “movers and shakers” for a few hours of networking and fun. We thank all past golf outing teams and sponsors for the continued support of Midwest Partnership EDC and efforts to enhance the overall vitality of the region.

Employer Educator Summit

The first Employer Educator Summit took place in 2008 in response to local employers expressing their need for a stronger workforce with specific skill sets, especially in manufacturing. At the same time, schools are wanting to connect to the local employers to encourage students to consider careers in the region. The EE Summit brings together both groups, employers and educators, to establish and strengthen the relationships between area schools and local businesses. 

Partnering with Western Iowa Advantage and Iowa Workforce Development, this event brings leaders from our education system and business comunity together to find ways to work together to develop citizens who possess the right skills for our changing society.
